The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 Examination. CTET September 2026 Eligibility Details
CTET Primary Level (Class I to V)
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:
- Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation/Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed as per NCTE norms.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-Year B.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed (Special Education).
- Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks and passed/appearing in 3-Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
Candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE/RCI are also eligible to appear in CTET.
How to Fill CTET September 2026 Online Form
- Candidates can apply online from 11 May 2026 to 10 June 2026.

Important Note
This year, exam centers in many cities are limited. Candidates who want their nearest exam city should apply as early as possible because seats in exam cities are allotted on a first-come basis.
